GOD STILL SPEAKS IN SILENCE

GOD STILL SPEAKS IN SILENCE

Sometimes we pause and ponder, asking the big question: Is God ever present?

There are seasons of trial when it feels as though the entire universe is against us. Rejections come repeatedly, pain deepens, and there seems to be nothing good to write home about.

I once read a very touching story of an ICAN student who eventually became chartered. He said, “It was supposed to open doors, but instead, it closed them.” According to him, he was turned down for relocation four times, denied promotion as an audit manager, and many other things went wrong along the line.

At moments like this, it is easy to think that God is far away. But sometimes, God simply needs us to return to him,to a place of total dependence, trust, and sensitivity.

The Scripture reminds us in Acts 17:28:

“For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.”

This verse assures us that our lives are sustained by God. Even when doors close and expectations fail, we are not outside His presence. God still speaks, and we must learn to hear him, especially in seasons of silence, delay, and waiting.
